How to Make Christmas Rice with Bacon and Almonds
This rice is delicious and quick to prepare, a great option for holiday parties or even for everyday meals.

Ingredients
Rice
- 1 tbsp of Olive Oil 0.44 fl oz (13 mL)
- 1 and 1/2 cups of White Rice (long grain grade 1) washed and drained 10.58 oz (300 g)
- 3 cups of Water boiling 24.3 fl oz (720 mL)
- 2 tsp of Salt 0.35 oz (10 g)
- 2 units of Bay Leaves
Sauté
- 2 tbsp of Olive Oil 0.9 fl oz (26 mL)
- 8.82 oz of Bacon chopped (250 g)
- 3 units of Leeks sliced
- 3.53 oz of Almonds toasted and sliced 3.53 oz (100 g)
- Chives chopped to taste
Instructions
Rice
- In a saucepan, add olive oil and rice, sauté for 1 minute, then add boiling water, salt, and bay leaves.
- Leave the pan partially covered over low heat until the water dries, then cover and set aside.
Sauté
- Meanwhile, in a skillet, add olive oil and bacon, let it brown, then add leeks and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- In the serving dish, place some rice and some sautéed mixture, don’t forget to include almond slices and chives.
- Mix gently.
